North Fork of the Yuba River
Current Report
- July 12, 2007 - Thursday
This is a very cold stream
that fishes better through the summer than most. It has been very
good and is still fishing well.
Most
fish from Downieville upstream to Sierra City. There are some nice
small tributaries up there too.

Stream Information
The North Fork of the
Yuba River is very accessible with Highway 49 running along most
of it's upper reaches. Downieville and Sierra City are both quaint
little bergs with lots of lodging and restaurants. There are lots
of small tributaries that are good small stream fisheries like Lavezzola
Creek, the Downie River, Pauley Creek, Little Lady Canyon Creek
and Haypress Creek. This stream usually fishes best in July
on a normal year.
