This a a really wonderful
diverse river that is not fished much in many areas. Only time it
gets crowded is during the Salmon season in September and the Steelhead
season in October.

River Information
The lower Feather River
flows out of Lake Oroville and run ~50 miles down to it's confluence
with the mighty Sacramento River at Verona.
This stretch of river
is a "sleeper" year round fishery with it only being crowded during
the big King Salmon run (Aug/Sept)
and the big Steelhead run (Oct/Nov).
This is also a great American
Shad (April/July), Striper (February/March)
and Smallmouth Bass (summer) fishery.
It is kind of a tailwater trout fishery
below the Oroville Dam too.
The Lower Feather River
is one of the most diverse rivers we have in Nor Cal and does deserve
to be heavily explored by all. There are miles of this river
that are almost completely overlooked. This great river has the
largest runs of Steelhead and King Salmon in the Valley.
