I gave up late September after not seeing any decent fish working in 4 outings. Did see some nice fish drifting though but I'm hoping the spring run is good. I use a pupa/emerger pattern I developed swinging in the surface film that really brings them up when they're around.

I will say this though for this year.... a ton of wild smolts.
"Did you catch anything".........."No, did you"........

"Hey man, mind if I fish here?"....."Yes"...."Thanks man!"

Got a couple of halfpounders this past weekend. One was an 18" one eyed hatchery job and the other was a bright 15" wild fish. First fish caught besides smolts on 3 weeks. Both were caught with an olive sculpin pattern.
