Sorry Ed ...... I thought you might have searched the site and found this -

Just so you had an idea of what we were floatin' over  .
In a small lake like that one .... WE have the advantage  - a flyrod w/ weedless flies is just as effective as what the gear folks use , maybe more so . By using floating , fast-sinking , and I lines ..... it isn't such a problem to cover the water from surface to bottom .
While I'm not burning to set/break any records .... it'd be neat to hook a Largemouth that is bigger than average .
David :D
I'm not sure I would want my feet dangling around something as big as that.
Would give quite a ride in the float tube though.

Hey David, I've had that guy's booked marked forever, During the cold months I spend a lot of time on that site. The Bass I'm holding on my web site was 7 lbs. She formed my 9 wt into the letter u, and pulled me and my yak until I finally neted her, like I was nothing. I've hooked bigger bass but they simply kicked my butt and swam away. I would hook them, they would simply hold my fly for a bit and then let go. But that short amount of time miss bass and I were connected is why I fish. I'm going to get a bigger rod.
See ya all on the Delta. I agree with Bill, March, April, and May will be the main targets but I'll be in the Delta any time I can.
