Born in South Dakota on a small farm, her family migrated to Davis, California when she was 8 years old. Her father went to work at a South Dakota friend's agricultural tool business in Davis where they produced the Elastrator.

Marilyn worked ~30 years at UC Davis retiring as a clerical supervisor from Med-micro. Today she runs the "back end" of Kiene's Fly Shop and has become an indispensable part of the business.

Our Little House in Florida

Her favorite places to fly fish are Christmas Island in the Central Pacific for bonefish and Rainbow Lodge on Nimpo Lake, BC, where she dry fly fishes for Rainbow trout on the famous Upper Dean River in BC.

"Mimi" is now a super grandmother of five beautiful little keepers.
