Jeff Putnam
Jeff works part time for Kiene's and has his own successful business, Jeff Putnam Fly Fishing Schools.
He started guiding professionally at 16 years of age rowing a drift boat on the famous Green River for the famous Elk Creek Lodge in Colorado. Jeff has been in all aspects of the fly fishing industry working as a factory representative, fly fishing guide, fly fishing instructor, retail sales and fly fishing travel.
Jeff spends most of his time now teaching all aspects of fly casting and fly fishing but his specialty is Spey casting instruction. He has spent 5 years now working with Simon Gawesworth of Rio Products teaching Spey techniques.
Jeff has also been fortunate to have traveled to some top fly fishing destinations like the famous Dean River in BC, the Tsiu River in Alaska, El Pescador Lodge in Belize and Christmas Island in the Central Pacific.
Jeff is a Certified Federation of Fly Fishers Spey Casting Instructor.
Jeff puts on special seminars and presentations for family groups, fly fishing clubs, fly shops, fly fishing manufacturers and corporate groups. He also consults individuals and groups on travel planning and tackle selection.
