Jason on the Lower Yuba River

Jason is working part time for us now at the shop. He and his father Rob and younger brother Cody are veteran fly fishers so we don't have to teach him much about the sport. Jason's favorite stream is the lower Yuba River near the Hwy 20 Bridge.

Every year Jason goes on backpacking/flyfishing trips in the Trinity Alps with his family. The hike to the lake is appoximately 7 mile (uphill) and he catches Brook and Rainbow Trout.

Jason was taught how to flyfish by his dad starting at the age of 11. Jeff Putnam has also helped Jason to refine his skills.

Jason is also a musician he plays both the acoustic and electric guitar.
