Doug started out on the right foot being taught to fly fish on the Klamath River at the age of twelve by his uncle, Dave Muraki, who is a veteran Nor Cal fly fisher. Doug has also been tying flies and making rods since the age of fourteen, which he still enjoys today.
Doug can be found frequently jetting the Lower American, Feather, Lower Yuba River, and the Sacramento Rivers on his 16 foot Lowe Roughneck jet boat.
Doug has been working for us since 2000 while he attended Sacramento State, majoring in Art. He is now works as a paramedic which affords him the opportunity to have several regularly scheduled days off in a row to pursue his passion of fly fishing throughout Northern California.
