Chuck Campana

Chuck's family settled in the Camino area up Highway 50 where he spent his youth chasing trout in small Sierra streams. He is retired now from the CA Department of Boating & Waterways. Chuck's depth of technical knowledge is a result of a lifetime of fly fishing, from the cane rods of his youth to the graphite rods of today

He has fished all over the world including Alaska, British Columbia, Chili, Belize, Florida, Baja and the Yucatan.

If you have a tough technical question or just need information regarding local fishing techniques, Chuck is fully qualified to assist you. Today Chuck enjoys fly fishing with floating lines for most of his fishing. With his knowledge of the fisheries he can time his trips for the best surface activity where he can "match the hatch" and fool large selective trout. Chuck is also one of the founding members of the California Fly Fisherman Unlimited of Sacramento, one of the oldest fly fishing clubs in California.
